The Kenai Penninsula Airsoft Association is an association dedicated to airsoft. We are here to build the airsoft community and help make airsoft a fun, but more importanly a safe sport. Below you will find a complete list of KPAA's rules and regulations. If you have any questions may post them accordingly. Thanks.
Proper Gear Rules
*****************
When playing with KPAA there are a few rules concerning your personal gear that must be followed.
First off is eye protection. You must at all times wear eye protection while not in the safe zone. This is a big concern with KPAA because we are constantly trying to make airsoft a safer sport. Eye protection is the biggest and main issue with staying safe in airsoft. If you are caught at anytime not wearing eye protection then you will be warned only once. I can understand that if your eye protection fogs up it is annoying, but at no time should you remove your eye protection for any reason. You must remove yourself from the game and do whatever needs to be done in the safety zone, and in the safety zone only. Your eye protection must also be ANSI rated, and approved by the manufacturer. If there is any doubt by a KPAA staff member that your eye protection is not suitable to play airsoft in, then you must willingly give your eye protection to a staff member and allow that person to conduct a test. The test is shooting the highest fps gun at the game at the lenses 3 times in a row at a distance of no more than 5ft.
Also, when playing with KPAA your airsoft gun(s) must not be shooting "hot". The following is a list of fps (feet per second) rules.
AEG (fully automatic capable guns)=400fps or below=20ft minimum engagement
Sidearm=350fps or below=10ft minimum engagement
Semi Auto Sniper Rifle=500fps or below=40ft minimum engagement
If your gun is suspected to be shooting a higher speed than that of permitted, then you must willingly allow a KPAA staff member to chrono your gun, either using a chronograph or another way of testing it.
If your gun fails the test you will not be allowed to use it in any KPAA game unless you downgrade the spring and allow us to chrono it again. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Behavioral/Personal Rules
************************
When playing airsoft with KPAA you must at all times hold respect for others, and field you are playing at. You must never physically or verbally abuse another member or airsofter at any times. These acts will not be tolerated. You will only be given one warning, and one warning only. If you still cannot abide by this rule, then you will be escorted off the field, and will not be welcome back.
When you are also playing on our field, or any other piece of land that KPAA is holding a game, you must not in any way damage or vandalize the any piece of property on said field. This will especially not be tolerated and if there is evidence that you purposely damaged or vandalized something, there will be no warnings and you will be immediatly escorted off the property, and depending on the extent of the damage, the authorities will be notified.
Here is a little saying that you should remember while playing.
"When engaging anpther player, make sure you can shake his hand at the end of the game".
Thanks, KPAA Admin (AKWolf)
