Does anyone here use hand signs in an airsoft game? I am talking more than just pointing in a particular direction. I am talking signals for instructions and such. First, I was wondering are the signs somewhat universal or unique to each unit/crew/team??? I do know some universal ones(stop, etc.)
Secondly, I had an idea for a game. I was thinking, enlight of my new toy...hehehe, we should have a sign game. Each person blares music in headphones so you cant hear anything. You have to play as a unit using only visual(obviously) and hand signs. It would def. be a good cohesion/team building game. We just need some teams hahahhaa

I use hand signal seldomly. I dont know many, and usually others dont know many either, so it tends to get confusing. I also have played in too many unit scenarious where hand signals are nessacary.
I think it would be cool if we started learning the signals, and if we started actually using them (esspecially for Asbestos). The headphone idea might not work, since you would still need to be able to listen for opponents (it's a key thing when playing).
Also, one tip is; Hand signals, although very useful, do not work unless you pay attention to your point man, or any of your teammates.

I agree that yes, it is needed to hear opponents but...
this is an exercise in observation. It would help to train someone to use other senses.
