This is a work in progress tightbore barrel guide. There are many different brands to choose from, sizes, materials, and pricing. Hopefully, this guide will give you a good starting point in learning which tight bore would be best for you.
Price is tricky to do because it can change from one place to another. Also, the longer the barrel is, the more expensive it is. Keep this in mind when looking at prices. As I revise this guide, I will try to take the cheapest and most expensive price I can find for a particular brand. For now, if a price is listed, it is an average of prices I have seen from many different websites.
Brand Name Make material(s), Inner Diameter(s) millimeters, Average Price Description/Explanation
Deep Fire Stainless Steel, 6.04 & 6.02, $35
Systema Brass, 6.04, $35
Mad Bull Aluminum, 6.04 - 6.02, $35
DB Custom Brass, 6.01, $55
Classic Army Stainless Steel, 6.04, $30
JBU Stainless Steel, 6.03, $30
KM TN Titanium, 6.04, $50
Prometheus , 6.03,
TK(Tanio Koba) Twist
PDI
MATERIALS
[glow=red,2,300]BRASS[/glow] - very easy to polish; the inside surface needs to be as smooth as possible and brass allows this.
[glow=red,2,300]Steel[/glow] - stiff and resists flexing, which maintains good groupings during full-auto fire, but is also resistant to polishing.
You can use a brass-steel inner barrel, or use brass inner barrel in a steel outer barrel (making sure that the barrels fit snugly).

I like that. Some good info too. Since I am new to airsoft and modding(airsoft guns) I will display my noobness by asking....
I am assuming that all these brands make barrels that will fit any AEG. Do these barrels fit them all or are they brand specific??? I.E. CA for CA guns...etc.

Yeah, all AEG barrels will fit all AEG's. There may be a length difference, but it will fit the hopup (at least Im 99% sure). But there are some barrels like a PSG1 barrel (which I believe is a springer or gas gun anyways) that wont fit other guns.

Yep Akwolf is right. Sometimes barrels will be gun specific, but you will know if thats the case. Other than that, you can buy any brand you want to. Havent had time to work on the guide a whole lot, but I will this week. Stay tuned!
