Hey, I am hoping to have a big OP this summer. It will most likely be at Asbestos. The time and scenario are undecided. That is why I made a board for people to post suggestions, and ideas. This OP is going to take a lot of planning, so lets get started!
My general ideas are that it is going to be a 2 day or maybe 3 day OP. We will be using the entire loop out at the site (that means instead of just the fenced in area, we will be using the whole road, and woods). It will be a non stop game (no break periods, but there will be a safe zone)......
That's all I got for now. Now we need to figure out where the bases will be positioned, the different objectives, who will be the people sitting the game out to supervise, where to get props for the objectives....you know, stuff like that. So Im hoping that everyone will put in their suggestions, so we can make this dream OP, a reality OP!

I'm working on writing up a scenario for you guys to "critique". I'm thinking more of a 1-2 day event in late June. OER4 drug on too long, I think with Asbestos we could have an action packed 24-36 hour game. Unfortunately I think that for the majority of the game AkWolf and I wouldn't be able to play as we would be running the event, pictures, etc.
However one of the scenarios will involve hunting down and killing 4 "predators", 2 will have a SAW and G36. Anyways I'll get it all written up and see what you guys think.

here is my suggestion for your OP you are planning. as a seasoned player who has been around for a while this is what i suggest and here it goes.
i would plan two scenario one for the first day and one for the second day and have some little games in the evening of the first day with maybe a bar b Que at the end of the day to keep people interested in the games. the reason i suggest a event like this is because two day game have been tryed and did not go well either people just come for one day or loss interest and leave some tome during the games or at the end of the day
so keep this in mind as you plane this event give people lots of notice ahead of time and try to keep the games lite and fun and you should be great

Yeah. Maybe a couple big missions, that will take a bit of time, and then in between some small for easier objectives. I was planning on having a BBQ at the safe zone, and maybe a few little special things (like door prizes, or raffles). I think we would have to limit the game to around 30-40 people due to the size of the buildings. But thanks James, it helps to get opinions from more experienced players like yourself. So keep the suggestions comin!

I think this is a great idea. I do see that there may be a conflict w/ use of the field. We may get some ahhhhhh visitors on a Sat. night or something.(Something to keep in mind). I like the idea of a few BIG games and smaller ones too. I think we should play some games outside of the fencing to see what is really there and how it goes. The BBQ is a good idea too.
BTW, for people not familiar w/ the area. This field is close to town and would be easy to get food/pizza/whatever there.
I might try my hand at a mission writeup. AKwolf- please PM me for details on that. Do I need to just tell you or post it for critique, etc.

I have a little scenario of my own.... SEAL VS. TERRORIST the seal team...(3 to 4 people) will have to infiltrate the enemy camp(5 to 10 people) and find hidden files that have the names and address of every under cover agent in field. They have 15 minutes to bring the files back to camp and(dramatic music here)disarm a bomb in the breef-case containing the files. though the terrorist team has know idea about that... still working on the in's and out's but tell me what you think... I am also thinking of adding a medic on the seal team but once the medic is out he cant heal... So tell me what you think

Adam whatever ideas you have, you can post here. And Weeman it sounds good. We will need to somehow fit it in or rearange it a bit to fit a 40 man OP. Maybe the seals need to break up so one squad disarms the bomb, and the recon squad retrieves the files. With the Opfors (terrorists) spread out around the buidlings. And the files could be hidden in a room, and the bomb could be at a different point on the field.

I got some couple of ideas where we there is a president n a couple of guys like 3-4 people with high power weapons. One more idea we could play a hostage resuce. There are two teams: the Guards and another team divided into the Hostages and the Rescuers. The hostages are typically placed in different locations. The rescue team can carry extra weaponry to the hostages. The hostages can attempt to flee but are then subject to elimination. i got most of them off the internet

Combat Medical Rescue: there are 2 teams of 3-12 players and one downed pilot. the enemy teams objective is to airest the pilot and take him back to base (witch will be state at the start of the game) the CMR (Combat Medical Rescue) objective is to get the pilot back to the extraction point (must be stated at the start of the game) the pilot is given no gun. the CMR & the enemy team can not be in gropes smaller than 3 men at a time, unless you have say 4 players... then onse can go out as a scout. wen a player is out he sits on the down until for a medic heals him... (the medic can re-spawn at the base/extractions point) note:you can also play this game as where every one re-spawns. the pilot is sent off before the CMR and enemy teams are decided on, the CMR team has some sort of proof they are CMR and not the enemy. the CMR team can not shoot the pilot, but the enemy can if he dose not follow there orders, and i suggest escaping if you suspected that you are in enemy hands as you lose if the enemy gets you to there base, you also lose if you are shot

Ambush This game requires one team to hide along a certain path while the other team's objective is to get to the other end of the path with a set number of people to win. This game mode works best when there is a mix between snipers and AEGs so to create a fair match. An objective can also be used that the ambushing team needs to acquire in order to win. This can be anything from an ammo box to an old shoe. Zombie Start out with everyone alone, similar to a Free-For-All game, but because waiting for a round to end is boring, those that get shot form teams with the player or players that shot them. Works well if you have a lot of open space, or an uneven number of players. Each player has to go to a different part of the field of play and start from that position. When you get shot you can either throw you hands up in surrender so they (hopefully) stop shooting you or, you can run to the nearest ammo depot reload and then come back to help your newly formed team.

Hey does everyone want to meet up at someones house or something to figure out how we're going to do this OP. I am COMPLETELY out of ammo so I figure we can play some Halo, hang out and get the OP nailed out. I think we should get it done this weekend so we can give the Anchorage guys plenty of notice and tell them how the OP is going to work. The more notice we give them the more will come. Also we need a kick ass name for our OP, any ideas? Any theme we want to go with?
Also we should explore the rest of Asbestos and figure out how big our field will be.
