Strongest handgun round I could think of, that vehicle can float, take a beating, knock over tree's, has a B.I.G fuel tank, has 2 parts too full vehicle. the front can seat 4 sitting-1 standing while looking out one of two top hatches. The rear can hold a crap load of supply's and Ammo, seat 6-8, and provide sleeping area. Also can be fitted with Heavy machine gun through the hatch. Best of all, my family owns 2.

wowsers...that think have Cable too??? hahaha jk I guess we all have to hash out this too. Is stopping power really neccessary? I was always under the impression that a head shot would kill. Hitting it w/ the biggest cannon you can carry is just as effective as a small well placed round to the head. What do you all think? That is why 9mm is my primary round. Hollow points are just nasty but, no need for an elephant gun IMHO. I would rather carry a lot more ammo and be able to deal out lots of death than just pulverize one at a time.....Discuss.

True, very true. But, have you seen the Resident Evil movies? When that lady shot the crap out of that zombie, and it didnt do anything. It's not so much stopping power thats nessecary, it's the oblituration factor. One shot through the upper body with a .44 shooting specials would be enough to kill it. With a small 9mm round, you'll need at least a few well placed rounds to really kill something, let alone a zombie! lol. IMHO.

headshots would work, but it would be hard to always get headshots, that's why you have the stopping power for when your not dead on

This problem has been discussed by many but there is only one person who i feel has really hit the topic hard... I strongly suggest that you all pick up a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, or you could keep a heads up on a new thread i am putting up that will cover a chapter from the book each week, with the moderators permission of course.

Adam, I think that a heavy round is quite neccessary not only will it push said zombie away from you're self but also it gives you the ability to use what ever you come across wether thats a .22 or a .700 express

+1....M249 would be sweet. I point out that I would take a smaller round because if the population is all zombies except for a select group(us and other survivors), I would want to have plenty of ammo. I dont want to have to carry limited heavy ammo. I would rather be able to be generous w/ my shooting and not have to worry about running out/making it to the next ammo store(hoping it wasnt already raided). REmember, you can still get powerful ammo that will not allow the zombie to have a good day.
Also, would the said, .44 magnum in the chest kill the zombie??? I thought you could only kill them w/ a head shot anyways??? idk though
Boomer, good idea. I look forward to the thread.

I heard that there was documented cases of a parasite that would take over the body. It is the closest to a zombie attack that I have ever seen but, according to the article it is only one scene in Outbreak from being a full fledge zombie attack. Better keep those guns oiled, gas tanks topped, and girls on hand!!!

You know, I wouldnt put it past the government to try and develop some crazy thing (like a cure for cancer gone bad), that would somehow effect the mind and body, creating a crazy person, or mutated crazy person. Ever seen 'I am Legend'....? That was a cure for Mono right? Yeah, it's a movie, but you never know.
